{"id":9,"date":"2016-02-04T16:10:07","date_gmt":"2016-02-04T16:10:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kzoo.edu\/latin\/?page_id=9"},"modified":"2017-09-25T14:30:56","modified_gmt":"2017-09-25T14:30:56","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kzoo.edu\/thomasproject\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Thomas Project is a project begun by undergraduate students and faculty at Kalamazoo College, to make available an English translation of Thomas Cantimpratensis\u2019s <em>Liber de natura rerum.\u00a0 <\/em>This work of natural history draws heavily upon earlier writers, including Pliny the Elder and Isidore of Seville, among others.\u00a0 Students create all the content you see here.\u00a0 The translations are their own, and their notes are designed to help an intermediate reader of Latin.<\/p>\n<p>Vocabulary that is not part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/dcc.dickinson.edu\/latin-vocabulary-list\">Latin Core Vocabulary<\/a> at the Dickinson College Commentaries is included here.<\/p>\n<p>We use the 1973 edition of the <em>Liber<\/em>, edited by H.
